Primarily used on workboats, larger vessels, ships and aircraft, high-pressure systems eliminate the need to run water and condensate lines throughout the vessel which greatly reduces the installation expense, although you do lose independant temperature control in the individual spaces.

The conditioned air is compressed and transported throughout the vessel in relatively small diameter tubing to the different locations which may be quite distant from the air conditioning unit. Because the compressed air is warmer than uncompressed air, insulated ducting/tubing is usually not necessary - the air drops to design temperature only when it finally reaches atmospheric pressure in the individual cabins.

Approximate Specifications

Higher voltages and 50Hz available for an additional fee. Return air ducting usually necessary depending on unit location. Discharge ducting can be from 1" - 4" multiple ducts or a single 6-10" duct. Add about 12" to the overall height for a vertical discharge or length for a side discharge unit - about the same in width and length for return ducting if needed.
